Cosplay history

Showing from most recent to first~

Sha Gojyo (damn Kappa!)

Origins: Saiyuki/Saiyuki Reload by Kazuya Minekura
First worn: Abunai! 2012, 25th of August.
Times recognised: maybe 15. Times actually told you were recognised: 5. Of which I had to remember the person who I was again: 3. Pictures made by random bystanders: 1.
GGGUUIISEEEEE. Srsly? Are my cosplay choices THAT weird?

Lumpy Space Princess (LSP)

Origins: Adventure Time, an American animated television series by Pendleton Ward for Cartoon Network. And it's brilliant.
First worn: Abunai! 2012, 26th of August.
It's AMAZING how much I heard people whisper "Ohh my GLOB!" behind my back. Also, I'm never using bodypaint/grime again. The risk of making things purple, even with fixation spray, is pretty damn scary.

Alistair Grayson Dorian Reed (Reed)

Origins: Teahouse, a yaoi webcomic made by the wonderful Emirain.
First worn: YaYcon 2012, on the 1th of April.
Prizes: Best Costume, YaYcon 2012
Publications: AniWay 27. Okay, not really, but my picture was used! That counts, right? ... RIGHT?! ;^;
Extra: Used in De kunst van het namaken, a short film two journalism students made about cosplay.
I actually got recognised. I was amazed. xD Thank you, Dutch Teahouse fans, you restored my faith in humanity <3

Shego

Origins: Kim Possible, an animationseries by Disney
First worn: Abunai! 2011
Somehow, I seem to be best known for this costume- at least here in the Netherlands. Making this was really interesting, since it was my first time working with lycra. I'm still not completely content with the costume, but when will I ever be...

Misao Kusakabe

Origins: Lucky Star
First worn: Abunai! 2011
This was for a cosplay act a friend of mine organized. I didn't know the series at all, really and apart from the group pics, I don't think there's a single decent picture of me in that costume. Ah well.

Tiger Lily

Origins: Peter Pan, the Disney movie
First worn: Abunai! 2010
My first cosplay costume! Made from an old curtain of my aunt, which worked perfect for a soft, fake leather. People thought I was Pocahontas. :I
